Established in 1906, Calhoun City has a population of about 1800 people, serves a trade area of about 15,000 people and is located in the north central region of Mississippi at the intersection of state highways 8 & 9, just 40 miles south of Oxford, 50 miles southwest of Tupelo and 65 miles northwest of Starkville. An easy, leisurely 1 hour drive from the 3 best places to visit in North Mississippi.
